Lundi 20 octobre 2008 : Le Bureau international du travail estime que le nombre de chômeurs dans le monde risque d'augmenter de 20 millions, passant de « 190 millions en 2007 à 210 millions fin 2009 » à cause de la crise financière. Le nombre de « travailleurs pauvres » qui vivent avec moins de un dollar par jour pourrait croître de 40 millions tandis que celui des personnes gagnant moins de deux dollars pourrait augmenter de 100 millions entre 2007 et 2009.

Comme d'habitude je n'ai pas écouté beaucoup de nouveautés cette année mais voilà ce qui m'a marqué en 2008 :
Dead Meadow "Old growth" (Sabbath+floyd+spiritualized jouent du blues rock / classic rock enfumé parfait), Six Organs of Admittance "Shelter from the ash" (grand disque de guitares et de peur), Sun Kill Moon "April" et The New Year "The New Year" (un poil décevants mais quand même), Acetate Zero "Civilize the satanists" (leur meilleur album et un grand titre), quelques français folk pas chiants (Pollyanna "On Concrete", Jocari "In the Healing Hands of Time", Thousand "40 miles of rough road"), du métal electro grind (le morceau "Board up the house" de Genghis Tron), les trois premiers morceaux du Metallica, des ré-éditions ("Shleep" et "Dondestan" de Wyatt en vinyl, "Thank you friends -the Ardent story").
Meilleure année pour les concerts : du classic rock (Blüe Oyster Cült, The Melvins), des quadras indie-rock en forme (Sebadoh, Bob Mould, Built To Spill), du folk anglais rêche (Alasdair Roberts), du néodoom plus ou moins planant (Earth + KTL), des tireurs de larmes (Sun Kiil Moon, The New Year), un punk presque mort (Jerry Lee Lewis marche très lentement mais sait encore faire des doigts d'honneur)...
Ce n'a pas été une année très visuelle par contre : vu aucun film au ciné ni aucune expo en 2008.
Les regrets : avoir raté le concert d'And Also The Trees.
Les tristes nouvelles : ma tendinite pouce poignet gauche (plus de guitare depuis 4 mois) et l'éclipse de Wilfried*.
Mais 2009 s'annonce bien avec le Hellfest festival : Black Sabbath avec Dio, les Misfits. Bière, amour et bon son à tous !
